This is Gavin from BlastOne. Today we’re going to be talking about the Schmidt Teravalve.Let me tell you about the unique features of the Teravalve. The Teravalve is made of cast stainless steel and features unique wiper technology on the internal seals, giving it up to three times longer life than a Thompson valve. It is also a diaphragm-activated valve, which means it operates very quickly. It’s the same type of valve used in an auto air valve, so you won’t need the extra control valve that’s normally required on a Thompson valve blast pot.

Another key feature is the clean-out port. It’s easily accessible by removing two small bolts, allowing the cover to slide out quickly. This design prevents it from becoming jammed and makes cleaning out a blocked valve fast and simple.

The Teravalve also includes a visual position indicator. This external indicator shows how far the internal valve is open, allowing operators to see at a glance how much abrasive is being used during blasting. If the valve is opened more than four or five turns, operators can reduce the opening to avoid wasting abrasive.
