Hi, my name is Paul, Technical Project Manager here at BlastOne. And today we’re going to be going over the MONTIPOWER® Bristle Blaster.
So the Bristle Blaster comes in three variations. You have battery power, which is this one, electric, which has a cord, and then the pneumatic version.
For the Bristle Blaster, we have a few applications. Typically you see it on inspection work, sensitive areas, or even on bridges where you have to remove coating from nuts and bolts and tight-to-reach spaces.
Typically, with a MONTIPOWER® Bristle Blaster, you’re going to get, on average, 12 to 14 square foot an hour. So it’s recommended that these are used for small jobs.
When handling the Bristle Blaster, you always want to make sure you have the required PPE. That includes gloves, ear protection, and eye protection. There are the actual bristles that use a launch bar, and sometimes these bristles can come out.
For your battery-powered Bristle Blaster, you’re typically going to get 20 to 25 minutes of juice to be able to clean your surface.
For your pneumatic Bristle Blaster, you’re going to run about 75 to 90 psi. Regulators are typically supplied within the case or within the assembly of the Bristle Blaster.
A few troubleshooting steps to keep in mind when using the MONTIPOWER® Bristle Blaster: there is a rubber belt that is intertwined inside the actual assembly. Typically, when the head is not rotating correctly, it’s safe to say that that belt is broken. BlastOne is able to provide that belt.
An easy way to figure that out is to disassemble these few bolts that are in the front. Once you take that off, you can see the belt has possibly broken.
Other few things: you have a dead battery or a short in your wire somewhere down the line. There’s not too many things that can go wrong with this.
The other points to check for are the actual metal prongs in here. After a while, they wear, and you’re going to need to replace it with another unit.
