The VonArx 34B Needle Scaler is designed for practical surface cleaning when a grinder or cup brush is slow, awkward, or too aggressive for the profile. It is commonly used to remove rust scale, coating residue, weld slag, and embedded contamination from steel surfaces that are not flat or easily accessible. 

Because the needle bundle can flex and spread under load, the scaler can work across uneven plate, corners, weld seams, and fabricated sections with projections. This helps maintain consistent contact without the tool skipping across the surface. 

For best results, run clean, dry air at a regulated pressure, keep the needles square to the work where possible, and replace needles as they wear or shorten to maintain productivity and finish consistency.
