CHARLESTON JOB CORPS LAUNCHES THE NEXT GENERATION OF BLASTING EXPERTS
Charleston Job Corps is a federally funded career training and education program located in Charleston, West Virginia, that helps young adults (typically ages 16–24) gain the skills needed for employment and independence. Part of the national Job Corps network operated by the U.S. Department of Labor, the center offers free training in various trades, along with academic education, certifications, and support services such as housing, meals, and career placement assistance. Its goal is to prepare students for stable careers while also helping them complete their high school diploma or equivalent if needed.
The Charleston Job Corps Center, sought to create a hands-on training environment that would prepare students for real-world careers in industrial coating and surface preparation.

As a government trade school, the project had strict budget and schedule expectations. While lead time management was crucial, the installation proceeded smoothly—planned carefully around the school’s ongoing operations.
The Charleston Job Corps facility is the first in the nation to feature a dedicated sandblast booth, enabling hands-on training that closely mirrors real-world field conditions. The system was installed and brought online seamlessly with zero reported issues, while advanced filtration and recovery systems significantly enhance safety and dust control for students and staff.
“I am so stoked with the entire system. It will change the way I do my job and helps the students get real-life experience. For sure a game changer for the students.”
