THE MINIBRS VS. 8 Meter Vertical Hose Climb

The Schmidt MiniBRS portable blast and recovery system operates off a 0.3cuft pot and a 185cfm compressor (no electricity). The question was asked of us, can this system overcome an 8 meter vertical wall between the machine and vacuum head? Does it have enough suction power?

So with the help of our rental/repair shop we decided to run a test using 23m lengths of both blast and vacuum hose.

Results:  Although the MiniBRS performed with about a 2.5cm  (1 inch) blast pattern – virtually all media was recovered.  See video for details.

We want to know what questions, challenges, and problems you’re facing – either with blasting or painting – that we may be able to solve.
